Draft plans have now been drawn up for an initial scheme that provides the following range of versatile spaces in the building:

Multi-use room “A” for community hire (approximately 8.5m/28ft x 5.5m/18ft)

Large bay-fronted space for a Community Cafe’ or similar social space (approximately 8.9m/29ft x 6.8m/22ft 7″)

New build community hall with sprung wooden floor (approximately 13.5m/44ft at widest point and 9.9m/32ft 6″ at narrowest point x 11.6m/38ft. Total floor area 198m2/2133ft2)

Ground Floor

These ground floor spaces are intended to suit local clubs and societies looking for a home venue to hold regular meetings/ The rooms and new hall will also be available for residents to hire for birthdays parties and special occasions. Council hopes the large community cafe’ space will becomes the heart of the building and a popular social destination for local residents. All ground floor rooms will be fully accessible and have their own separate entrances, accessible toilet, projector/TV, speakers and tea point with sink, fridge and dishwasher.

First Floor

The three first-floor rooms can be used for a range of activities from 1-to-1 consultations, interviews, temporary flexible office space, treatment rooms, or informal meetings.

All first-floor rooms share an entrance hall, stairway, toilets, tea point with sink, fridge, and dishwasher. unfortunately, due to the nature of the existing building the first floor can only be accessed via a flight of stairs.
